As Max says, “you should not separate each aspect of photography from each other but connect them instead. Whether you scout for a location with Google Earth or are scouting and shooting on location, you must already keep the possibilities with post-processing in mind. This is something I’ve learned after around 5 to 6 years, which has made me much more productive. Instead of aiming for a certain light like a red sunrise or sunset, I try to translate the mood I felt on the scene with post-processing.”

Balance in the composition, the presence of a subject, the balance between colors and the separation between layers are just as important. However, it is essential to recognize when a location will benefit from a large field of view (and take a panorama) or just go for a single shot instead. You must not take a pano just to take a pano. It must be for a reason.”
